There are many books designed to teach and encourage bass playing. We recommend using
Play Bass Today! This series teaches technique and style, and the CD included encourages rhythm. We work with this book to teach your child the basics. Once this series has been completed, we work with you and your child to decide what he/she wishes to play, further challenging their talent!
Adult Lessons
There are a couple of different adult tracks we offer, depending on your background.
Background A: You already have some knowledge of the bass or another instrument. If this is the case, the introductory lesson is used to determine what you know and what will be the best course of action to further your talent.
Background B: You are completely new to the bass, having never played it or another instrument. In this case, we recommend beginning with “Play Bass Today!” This series teaches technique and style, and the CD included encourages rhythm. We work with this book to teach you the basics. Once you have completed this series, we will choose songs with increasing difficulty to further challenge your talent!
