There are many different books by different authors that are designed to help the young student become proficient at playing the piano. Bastien Piano is one we recommend.
We work hand-in-hand with this series, or those like it, to teach your child the basics of the piano, fingering, and the names of the keys. Once the child has graduated from this series, other books are selected either by the teacher, parent, or child, depending on what the child wants to learn.
Adult Track

There are a couple of different adult tracks we offer, depending on your background.
Background A: You already have some knowledge of the piano or another instrument. If this is the case, the introductory lesson is used to determine what you know and what will be the best course of action to further your talent.
Background B: You are completely new to the piano, having never played it or another instrument. In this case, we recommend beginning with a series called Alfred’s Basic Adult Piano Course. This series begins with the basics, teaching you about the piano, posture, and music notation. Once you have graduated from this series, the direction of your lessons is up to you Perhaps you desire to play in a band. In this case, we will teach you chords and how to solo on the piano. Perhaps you desire to learn more classical arts. In this case, we continue your education selecting music based on your interests.
